Announcment: WordCamp venue at LMU

Good evening WordCamp’ers.

First some bad news: Though we has a poll regarding possible venue locations and UCLA had won, we were unable to lock a location with out inside help for our date.

But here is the good news: Professor Michael Brodsky Head of Studio Arts – Multimedia Emphasis at LMU got in contact with us just as we were locking down our venue. And with the help of the Studio Arts – Multimedia Emphasis department, were able to hold the first WordCampLA at LMU :)

I was at the campus today and saw the room where track 1 will be taking place, and it’s a very nice classroom auditorium with pullout table tops (for those who plan on bringing their laptops).

I will write a post in the coming days about where to stay if your coming from out of town. We’re in contact with some hotels in the surrounding area’s that are willing to give us campers a special discount ;)
